On March 5, 2018, St. Matthew will be turning down the heat to support National Sweater Day that is celebrated every February. This event is celebrated to bring awareness to the importance of saving energy by switching off the heat and wearing a sweater. In celebration for this event, we will also be having Crazy Sweater Day! All students may wear their craziest sweaters, with uniform bottoms on this day, or just come in regular uniform. This event is a fun way to learn about the importance of conserving energy, encouraging us to use less heat all winter.
We are hoping that with your family you will wear a sweater on March 5th at home and turn down the heat. We will be sending home pledge sheets for families to fill out. If you are interested in participating in this initiative at home, please fill out the pledge sheet and sign it to show your commitment. Please return these pledge sheets with your son/daughter by Monday March 5th. Thank you all for your support in helping us reach our eco-initiative and doing what we can to save our environment!
